About This Site
I started this travel site back in 2000 in an effort to help people with their backpacking trips to Europe. Back then, there were no decent sites offering hostel reviews and I was looking to put that to an end.

Due to extreme laziness, I didn't really accomplish much and lots of really good travel sites sprung up and passed me by. But I kept taking notes and this is my second attempt at informing the world about the wonders of travelling!

I'm hoping I'll be able to offer some top, first-hand advice to all you budget travellers out there heading to Australia, Canada, Europe and New Zealand.

I'm from Canada and have been travelling or working abroad since 2001. I've lived and worked in Ireland, Australia, Scotland, England, and New Zealand as well as Canada and think I've got lots of handy advice to pass on.
