They ripped us off!
Do not stay in this hostel, they will rip you off! Five friends and I booked 6 months in advance to stay at this hostel for a few nights including New Year's Eve. A couple of days before flying to Prague we received an email stating that we would have to pay twice as much as we had originally been told. As we were only told a week before New Year's Eve, there was no chance of us finding anywhere else to stay. We had already paid for our flights 6 months before so we had no choice but to accept the doubled prices. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very rude Canadian or American girl who told us we would have to pay the full cost but could speak to the manager before we left. Having no other choice, we paid the full amount. We were then put in a 10 bed dorm, when we had paid for an 8 bed dorm. We were never given any towels and the breakfast wasn’t worth getting out of bed for! Oh, and don’t expect a hot or even warm shower, the water was ice cold whenever we went to use it! The day we were leaving we asked to speak to the manager. The lady on reception then phoned the manager and after a lot of talking hung up and told us that the manager did not want to speak to us. It seems that this didn’t just happen to us and that it is clearly the hostels way of conning people into booking to stay there!
