Avoid this place!
Their website made the place took like a good option for our trip to Paris, once we got there it was another story altogether!
Firstly, they failed to follow my extensive emails to them and hadn't charged me already for the room so I had to pay when I got there.
We got a two person room which was exactly that - a tiny room that two people could stand in, with what appeared to be ex-army bunkbeds
that were so creaky and noisy that we ended up sleeping on the floor for the four nights we were there. The room was four storeys up which
required walking up 8 sets of spiral staircases each time we wanted in or out. No powerpoints or anything else in the room, just beds
and a sink. No smoking in the room, but was allowed in the downstairs eating area which was a smokey hole. Was told breakfast was included,
what they meant was a cup of coffee and a hard stick of bread. The room got cleaned every day and appeared relatively clean and looked after.
The downstairs area was very basic with no TV or newspapers or anything to do, just plastic seats with some vending machines which were stocked
with cheap beer (1 Euro). THe rooms were closed between 10am-3pm which is a pain. The communal bathroom is nothing short of complete
rubbish, the showers stay on for 15 seconds max and you have to press the switch again to start the water. There's no privacy and nowhere to keep you
clothes or towel dry while you're showering. My girlfriend came away from the place with many small bites over her like mosquito bites which I can only assume were
bedbugs bites as there were no mosquitos to be seen. The good points of our stay there would be that the area is very good - the perfect area to stay in when in
Paris. This place was cheap as well.
