A good place but too big for my tastes.
THough I never stayed here, I did work here for three months in the summer of 2000. Despite its cozy common area and gorgeous
medieval murals, the hostel is very large and as a result seems very foreboding and lifeless. Its long hallways and
plain dorm rooms are not very welcoming, but the staff do their best to make you feel at home. Breakfast is free
and consists of toast, jam, tea, and coffee. Get up for it early though as it ends at 9am. There's a TV room on the
second floor with a small kitchen and some couches. The facilities are all cleaned daily (trust me, I know!), with
rooms on the top floor having their own bathrooms. The showers are push-botton which I know is annoying, but
they're hot. Get to Kinlay House by hanging a left when you leave the train/bus station. Its on one corner of Eyre
Square above an internet cafe.
