Great locale and groovy atmosphere.
I came to the Palace after staying In the centre of the city for a week. It was a great relief to chill in the park with my guitar.
The Palace isn't a purpose built hostel, it's a converted townhouse with all the character and quirks you would expect. There's a good social
atmosphere in the evening in the bar which is nice and cheap. In the afternoons you can watch dvds or lounge about. After the sterile hostels in Norway
this was a welcome, artistic, creative haven. Hi to Faviola, if it wasn't for the for the Pig Palace, I never would have met you!

Laid back and friendly with a cheap bar.
This is an agreeable hostel if you don't mind a little bit of chaos. It is in a quiet street overlooking a park and close to an area of cafes and
bars, and 20 min. walk from the red light district. The booking system is a bit questionable - their internet site was of little help, then I called
and found they were booked for the day I wanted so I booked elsewhere. Following some chance advice I turned up at 10am on the day
concerned and got a bed! The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, with an excellent cheap bar. The guest kitchen is very useful and sociable,
but not always open. The staff were cheerful and keen to help but a bit rushed off their feet. The hostel would have benefited from some
maintenance to leaky showers, door locks.
