Awesome place! So much fun and great setting.
First impressions are important and the guys running this place know it! As the van dropped me out front, Ben, one of the managers, popped out to greet me, grab my bag and offered me a free beer. I plunked down at the bar and was instantly chatting away to a group of people. I intended on spending one night but ended up staying 5 and then taking a cruise with all the new people I'd met. The place is like something out of Peter Pan or the Ewoks setting and the layout is amazing with a pub, club, loads of chill out areas, a fire pit, volleyball court and rooms up in the trees. A river runs behind it and its about 10 minutes walk down to the beach. The dorm rooms don't lock but people seem to leave their stuff scattered all around the place because it has a safe atmosphere. The food could be better but is edible and included in the already cheap price. There's other stuff for sale and the pizza is tasty. The Bull Bar was quiet while I was there but is meant to be the place to be during the busier periods. If you want to party and be made very welcome then this is the place to stay. One of my favourite hostels.
