Labouring
Labouring is generally a guy's job as it involves lots of lifting and basically being a tradesman's slave or doing crap jobs they don't want to do. There are lots of agencies which will help in finding work and, though the hourly pay isn't high, there are usually a lot of opportunities to work on the weekends if you can scrape yourself out of bed.

If carting other people's heavy crap around doesn't sound appealing and you have some other skills, you might be able to find work as a driver, lanscaper, or as a handyman. In London my tradesmen friends have never had many problems finding work, so if you've got a trade and plan on sticking around for awhile, it might be worth it for you to buy some tools.
