The United Kingdom is a hotbed of horse racing and one of the best places in the world to be for racing fans. Each
years sees a slew of great events all across the country and this guide will give you an insite into the five major races.
The Grand National
Probably the most well-known race of the year in the world for jump racing, The Grand National sees a ton of
bets placed and brings out even the casual horse racing fan. Held in early April each year, this race is known as a challenging one
for rider and horse with lots of exciting action during the race. If you're like most people in the UK, you'll place a bet

This festival, held in March each year, is second only to the Grand National for the value of the bets placed over the course

The Cheltenham Gold Cup is the marquee race in the festival, held on the last day. With 22 fences on the race the horses are put to the ultimate challenge
of jumping ability combined with stamina.
The World Hurdle is another hugely popular race which is held on the second last day of the Cheltenham
Festival. This is the world's more prestigious race for staying hurdlers.
The Queen Mother Champion Chase is held on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival and is one of the season's
main events for two mile chasers.
The Cheltenham Festival is well known for it's amazing atmosphere and the crowds are loud and boisterous making for a really
fun experience. The Cheltenham festival mainly attracts local horses from the UK and Ireland so it's a great place to see what's
