Cheap, fun, but out of town.
This hostel is made up of a bunch of individual huts around central courtyards with gazebos
and sitting areas. It's got a big swimming pool, a bar, a restaurant with cheap, good food,
a convienience store, and a tour booking desk. The place is has a laid back feel to it and
the traveller staff were very relaxed and friendly. There was one girl though who was supposed
to be cleaning but instead lit up a cigarette in my room and started chatting to some guy while
I was trying to sleep... but besides that, all was well. I met laods of people in the bar and
in my room, and everyone seemed to be up for a good time. It's about a 30 minute walk from town
and you have to wait around for the once an hour bus to take you in which is a bit of a hassel.
There's nightly live entertainment in the bar and movies every afternoon at 2pm. If you're lucky
to get one, they have beds for $5.50 that are acually in decent rooms and are en-suite! If they're
all full, which is usually the case, you can take a ticket and show up the following morning to try
your luck at getting one of the cheap beds then.
