Oz Experience is the main player in the Australian backpacker bus market. Aussie Magic has recently gone out of business. The routes cover most places except Tasmania and Western Australia. It goes to a few strange places that you might not otherwise get to see (like Dingo, Nundle, and Gulf Land) to do various activities such as digeridoo making and sheep shearing. The problem is that you're sometimes forced to stay the night in these places, even if you don't want to.

The bus is great for people travelling alone and are nervous about meeting people. You're all shuttled to the same hostels and there are 'getting to know you' activities arranged on the bus as well. Because of this, you might not get a chance to meet other people who aren't on the bus. The 'Oz Bus' people are sometimes loathed for their cliquey, rowdy behaviour.

the games on the bus are meant to be fun, and the bus hosts are helpful if you want inforamtion or would like to book a tour. Keep in mind that the hosts get commission for tours they book, so take their recommendations with a grain of salt.
